As corporate citizens of a global community, we understand
and embrace our moral obligation to participate
in the betterment of our world.
To best address our
social responsibilities, Atrium has created the Growing
Together Community Program. The mission of this initiative
is to make a positive and lasting impact on the
health of those in need in both the developing world
and within the communities in which we live and work.
Promoting health and well-being is a fundamental
value that defines not only what we do, but who we are.
We are particularly pleased that the Growing Together
Community Program has been spearheaded and
driven by Atrium’s employees from across North America
and Europe. Each of our business units is represented
on the program’s steering committee, and people from
virtually every level of our organization are involved in
the effort.
Our first major initiative is the building of Atrium House in
Peru.
Working under the aegis of SOS Children’s Villages
International, an international non-governmental social
development organization that has been active in the
field of children’s rights and committed to children’s
needs and concerns since 1949, we are developing
Atrium House to provide a safe haven where orphans
can grow up in a healthy family environment. Moreover,
each Atrium brand is sponsoring a child in Peru to
begin developing their community immediately.
On a local level, Atrium’s people are coming together
to develop a variety of health-related projects in specific
cities and towns across North America and Europe.
Our individual business units and our employees are
raising funds and volunteering their time to promote
these local initiatives.
